Commercial Photography
Whether it’s in a studio, at a client’s convenient place of work, or location, Commercial Photography is a planned and coordinated team effort to provide consistent image quality and content across the entire shoot from start to finish (on time too). Pre-planning and a Plan B insure most eventualities are covered, but more importantly the clients ‘Brief’ or ‘Vision’ is in our heads before we start shooting so that the first images are as close as possible to the final image. Time management, tactful and strong leadership of all the creative elements with an adaptable head gets us all over the finishing line with a successful shoot in the bag!
Commercial Photography – Pace versus Race!
Before shooting, I always produce a creative brief/storyboard with sample images so we are all clear from the outset what we are creating so that all the images created fulfill the brief and meet everybody’s expectations. Client input and those of the skilled creative team make the difference between woeful and wonderful. Time is our governor and whilst everyone thinks we have loads of it at the start, precious time can be lost by dawdling at the start, and from there it’s hard to pick up momentum. Starting at a good pace ensures we don’t have to finish at a race.
I’m only as good as the creative team around me. Each member not only contributes their skillset to the job at hand but I expect them to add a little magic with their ideas so we create something unique. The ‘devil is always in the detail‘, getting it right ‘in-camera’ is important to me, as it not only saves costly retouching, but each amendment takes something away from the original image.

Hiring and flexibility
I’m happy to shoot half days as well as full days, set up studios in clients’ premises if it helps, and alternatively, work via a video call and shooting remotely. With Commercial Photography I’m happy to test, write a treatment and coordinate as much or as little as you want. Whilst shooting you can relax and focus on your part of the day, watching images from the tethered feed over wifi so that you are sure the images I am creating are fulfilling your needs.
If you have a requirement for some studio photography please get in touch.
Did you know I also shoot vehicles in studios too. Come and take a look
