With Beauty photography, I love working with stylists, hair designers and makeup artists. Our ‘vision’ is always a collaboration of skills forming a kind of synergy that pushes and pulls the creative envelope until we are all happy with the overall look and lock the concept down. I can work on-site or in a suitable studio. Time on these kinds of shoots runs away with itself, so professional monitoring of progress from team members helps keep a good pace to scheduled ‘looks’ created in the time available.
Choosing and working with a team is as important as the decisive moment you press the shutter. If you are looking for other elements of the team, I could well know the right person, just ask me. Along with my mood-board, I would also expect hair and makeup to supply there visual thoughts so you are presented with the whole visual story so you can imagineer the final images.
I can provide retouching services, either in-house or if desired, sent to your retoucher or contact I know.

Beauty photography often uses light modifiers that you don’t see in a regular studio. On these occasions, I will ship some of my equipment to where we are working so I have the right light design to suit the look we are aiming for.
For beauty photography, I normally work tethered so the other creatives can see what I am shooting and adjust there work accordingly. I am of the opinion that it is far better to shoot as much of the final image ‘in camera’ rather than relying on fixes ‘in-post’.
